Audi VW AC Compressor 7L6820803F

Quality Aftermarket Audi / Volkswagen AC Compressor 7L6820803F – Direct-Fit Replacement

A failing AC compressor turns every UAE drive into an endurance test. The quality aftermarket AC compressor 7L6820803F is an OE-spec direct-fit replacement for Audi and Volkswagen 7L-platform vehicles, including the Volkswagen Touareg. It restores full cooling performance — fast cabin cool-down, correct refrigerant pressure, and smooth clutch engagement with no grinding or belt drag. Supplied new as a complete aftermarket assembly, it is the sensible fix when the original compressor has seized, started leaking, or lost cooling capacity.

How This AC Compressor Works in Your Vehicle

The AC compressor is the heart of the air-conditioning system. Driven by the engine's accessory belt, it pressurises refrigerant and circulates it through the condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator so the cabin heat exchanger can drop air temperature. Its 12V electromagnetic clutch engages only when cooling is requested, keeping drag low when the AC is off. Because the whole refrigeration cycle depends on consistent compressor output, a worn or leaking compressor cannot be compensated for elsewhere — weak cooling and pressure imbalance all trace back to this one component. This quality aftermarket unit is built to the same mounting geometry as the OE compressor, so it installs in the original engine-bay position and works with your existing condenser, receiver-drier, and refrigerant lines.

Signs Your Touareg or Audi Needs a New Compressor

Watch for warm air from the vents even at full AC, cooling that fades at idle, or a loud clicking, grinding, or squealing from the engine bay when the AC switches on. Visible refrigerant oil around the compressor body, a clutch that will not engage, and repeated refrigerant top-ups that never last are all classic failure signs. On 7L-platform vehicles, a seized compressor can also damage the accessory belt. If your technician has confirmed low high-side pressure or clutch failure, replacing the compressor with this new OE-spec aftermarket unit is the correct repair.

Why a Quality Aftermarket Compressor Makes Sense Here

Air-conditioning compressors are one of the part types where a quality aftermarket replacement is truly the smart choice. Seals age, bearings wear, and clutch coils fail from heat cycling — all accelerated in the UAE's climate. An OE compressor often costs two to three times more for identical fitment and function, while the saving on this aftermarket unit leaves budget for the parts that should always accompany a compressor job: a new receiver-drier, a system flush, and fresh refrigerant with the correct oil charge. This aftermarket 7L6820803F is manufactured as a new unit (not remanufactured) to OE-spec dimensions, so it bolts into the factory mounts and delivers the cooling your Audi or Volkswagen was designed for.

Installation Notes for the 7L6820803F

Compressor replacement should be carried out by a qualified technician with AC equipment. The job involves recovering the refrigerant safely, removing the accessory belt and compressor, flushing the system to remove debris from the failed unit, and fitting the new compressor with the correct oil type and quantity. Always replace the receiver-drier at the same time — a saturated drier will contaminate the new compressor. The system must then be vacuumed and recharged to the manufacturer's specified refrigerant amount; over- or under-charging both reduce cooling and can damage the new compressor. Because part-number supersessions are common on 7L-platform vehicles, send us your complete VIN before ordering so we confirm the exact match for your car.
