Description
xGenuine Audi Volkswagen Dashboard Air Vent Outlet Assembly 4G1820951G6PS — OE Centre AC Vent, Soul Black
A broken air vent ruins both the look and the function of the dashboard — stuck louvers, no directional airflow, and a trim piece that draws the eye for all the wrong reasons. The genuine Audi Volkswagen dashboard air vent outlet assembly 4G1820951G6PS is the original centre AC vent for the A6 C7 and A7, finished in factory soul black and supplied complete with the hazard switch. When the centre vent needs replacing, the genuine assembly restores factory airflow control and a factory-fresh dashboard in one part.
What the 4G1820951G6PS Air Vent Assembly Does
The 4G1820951G6PS is the centre dashboard air vent outlet assembly: the visible vent unit in the middle of the dashboard that directs conditioned air into the cabin and houses the hazard warning switch. Its adjustable louvers let driver and passenger aim airflow precisely, while the integrated hazard switch keeps a critical safety control exactly where the factory placed it. The genuine Audi Volkswagen assembly matches the original soul black (6PS) finish, louver action, and mounting geometry — details that determine whether the dashboard looks factory or repaired.
Signs Your Dashboard Air Vent Needs Replacing
Air vent failure is usually mechanical and obvious: louvers that will not stay aimed, broken or missing louver slats, a vent that rattles over bumps, or adjustment wheels that spin without moving the vanes. The hazard switch integrated in the assembly can also fail independently — a non-illuminating or intermittent hazard button often means the whole vent unit needs attention. In the UAE, prolonged sun exposure makes vent plastics brittle, so slats snap more easily during cleaning or adjustment. If the centre vent looks tired or no longer directs air properly, the genuine 4G1820951G6PS replaces the complete assembly in the correct factory finish.
Why a Genuine Audi Volkswagen Air Vent Matters
Dashboard vents are precision trim: the louver pivots, detent feel, and mounting clips are engineered to tight tolerances, and the soul black finish must match the surrounding dashboard exactly. Aftermarket vents frequently get the colour slightly wrong, feel loose in the dash opening, or have louvers that will not hold their position — and a mismatched centre vent is visible every time you drive. The genuine Audi Volkswagen 4G1820951G6PS is the original VAG part in the correct 6PS soul black finish with the integrated hazard switch, so it clips in, aims correctly, and looks like it never needed replacing.
Fitting the 4G1820951G6PS Air Vent Assembly
Fitting the centre vent assembly is a trim-level job suited to a technician or a careful DIYer: the surrounding dashboard trim is released, the electrical connector for the hazard switch is unplugged, and the old vent unit is unclipped from the dash opening. The new genuine 4G1820951G6PS clips into place, the hazard switch connector is refitted, and louver operation and hazard illumination are checked before the trim is reassembled. Work patiently — forcing trim clips marks dashboard plastics. Because vent variants differ by PR code and drive side, confirm the exact application with your VIN before ordering.
