Genuine Porsche Interior Cigarette Lighter 99665210100 – 911 996 / Boxster 986

Genuine Porsche Interior Cigarette Lighter 99665210100 – 911 996 / Boxster 986

The Genuine Porsche Interior Cigarette Lighter 99665210100 is an original Porsche interior electrical component designed for compatible early Porsche 911 996 and Boxster 986 models. It installs into the vehicle's cigarette-lighter receptacle within the dashboard or center-console area.

Porsche part number 99665210100, formatted as 996 652 101 00, is officially identified in Porsche's original parts catalogue as a Cigarette Lighter. It is therefore more accurate to describe this product as the cigarette lighter rather than the separate cigarette-lighter socket or housing.

This reference is associated primarily with early 986 and 996 vehicles up to model year 2001. Porsche changed the cigarette-lighter arrangement for later vehicles, with a different reference used from model year 2002 onward.

Because early and later 986/996 cigarette-lighter components differ, the model year, existing part number and physical configuration should be checked before ordering.

Why Choose Genuine Porsche 99665210100?

Genuine Porsche Interior Component

99665210100 is an original Porsche component manufactured for the applicable early 986 and 996 interior electrical arrangement. Using the correct component helps maintain the original appearance and fit of the dashboard or center-console cigarette-lighter assembly.

Early 986 / 996 Application

Porsche's original parts catalogue specifies 99665210100 – up to MY2001. For later vehicles, Porsche introduced a different cigarette-lighter reference.

Porsche 911 996 Fitment

Documented early applications include selected 911 Carrera, Carrera 4, GT3 and Turbo configurations, depending on model year and interior configuration.

Porsche Boxster 986 Fitment

The same reference is documented for selected early Boxster 986 applications, including applicable Boxster 2.5, 2.7 and Boxster S 3.2 configurations.

Important Model-Year Change

For the applicable 986/996 configuration: 99665210100 – up to MY2001; 99765210100 – from MY2002.

Cigarette Lighter vs Socket

Porsche identifies 99665210100 specifically as the cigarette lighter. The electrical receptacle and surrounding housing are separately catalogued components. Related early housing 99665210201 and plug socket 99965028440 should not automatically be considered included.

Early vs Later Socket Size

Specialist Porsche parts data identifies the early configuration associated with 99665210100 as approximately 22 mm, while later vehicles use a smaller configuration of approximately 20.7 mm. Do not force an early lighter into a later socket with a different diameter.
