xQuality Aftermarket Hyundai AC Compressor 97701-2P650 – Direct-Fit Replacement
A failing AC compressor turns every UAE summer drive into a punishment. This quality aftermarket Hyundai AC compressor 97701-2P650 is an OE-spec, direct-fit replacement built to restore cold, consistent cabin cooling for Sorento applications. It matches the original unit's mounting points, clutch interface, and belt routing, so your technician can fit it without modification. New — not remanufactured — and supplied ready to install. Confirm your fitment by VIN before you order.
What This AC Compressor Does in Your Vehicle
An AC compressor is the heart of your vehicle's air-conditioning system. Belt-driven from the engine, it compresses low-pressure refrigerant gas into a high-pressure gas that flows to the condenser, where it sheds heat and condenses to liquid. That liquid expands through the cabin evaporator, absorbing heat before the cycle repeats. When the compressor's electromagnetic clutch engages, refrigerant circulates; when it fails, circulation stops and the entire cooling loop is dead. Everything downstream — condenser, expansion valve, evaporator — depends on this one pump.
Signs Your AC Compressor Is Failing
The first symptom is usually warm air from the vents despite the AC running at full blast. Watch for others: a grinding or rattling noise from the engine bay that appears when the AC engages, a clutch that cycles on and off rapidly or refuses to engage at all, and visible refrigerant oil stains around the compressor body. On UAE roads in peak summer, a weak compressor shows itself fast — cooling that felt fine in March collapses under extreme heat. Don't confuse a dead compressor with a simple low-refrigerant charge; a technician should confirm compressor failure before you order parts.
Why a Quality Aftermarket Compressor Makes Sense Here
For compressors specifically, quality aftermarket units make strong sense. A compressor is a sealed mechanical pump: its value lies in precise internal tolerances, a durable shaft seal, and a reliable electromagnetic clutch. Reputable aftermarket manufacturers build to the same OE interface specifications, so the unit bolts to the original bracket, follows the factory belt routing, and connects to the existing refrigerant lines. You avoid the extended lead times and premium pricing of the OE channel while getting a brand-new pump, not a rebuilt one. For a high-failure, high-heat-load part, honest value and ready availability matter more than pedigree.
Installation Notes for This Compressor
Compressor replacement is a professional job, not a driveway task. The system must be evacuated with proper recovery equipment, and the new unit should be installed with fresh PAG oil matched to the system plus a new receiver-drier — moisture is the enemy of any compressor. Belt tension and alignment must be set correctly, then the system is vacuum-tested and recharged to the specified refrigerant amount. We strongly recommend a qualified AC technician performs the work; an incorrect oil charge or trapped moisture will shorten the life of any compressor, aftermarket or OE.

Why Choose European Auto Spares for Your AC Compressor
Built to Handle UAE Cooling Demands
A compressor that struggles in moderate weather dies in a Gulf summer. This unit is selected for high ambient temperatures and maximum-load duty. Correct internal clearances and strong clutch engagement keep it pumping when the cabin needs maximum cooling.
OE-Spec Fit Without Modification
Mounting points, belt routing, and clutch interface follow the original 97701-2P650 specification, so the unit bolts onto the factory bracket and connects to the existing lines. No drilling, no bracket adapters, no re-plumbing.
Fitment Verified by VIN Before Dispatch
Compressor applications vary by model generation, engine, and production split. Send us your complete VIN and our team confirms the 97701-2P650 application for your specific vehicle before anything ships. That step prevents the costliest AC repair mistake: fitting the wrong pump.
Honest Value Without the OE Premium
The aftermarket exists to compete on value, and compressors are where that shows. You get a brand-new sealed pump at a realistic price, freeing budget for the receiver-drier, PAG oil, and professional refrigerant service the job needs.
Warranty-Backed With UAE Consumer Rights
This compressor is covered against manufacturing defects, and your statutory consumer rights under UAE law apply on top. If it arrives damaged or incorrect because of our error, we replace or refund it. Clear terms, local support, no chasing an overseas seller.
Confirm Fitment With Your VIN
Not sure this compressor suits your car? Send us your complete VIN before ordering and our team will confirm whether 97701-2P650 is the correct application for your vehicle, including generation and engine variant. This step matters where catalogues list a Sorento application under the Hyundai brand. We verify before dispatch.
Complete the Job
An open AC circuit deserves a fresh receiver-drier — compare the Kia Sorento AC compressor 97701-C5350 and the Kia Sportage AC compressor 97701-D7300. The Air Conditioning & Heating Parts collection covers supporting components.
Reliable cabin cooling is a daily necessity in the UAE, not a luxury. This quality aftermarket 97701-2P650 gives your Sorento application a fresh, dependable heart for the AC system at an honest price. Order from European Auto Spares and drive cool again.

xFrequently Asked Questions
It is the pump that drives your car's air-conditioning loop. Belt-driven from the engine, it compresses refrigerant gas so the system can shed heat at the condenser and absorb heat at the cabin evaporator. Without a working compressor, refrigerant stops circulating and the vents blow warm no matter how high you set the fan.
Warm air from the vents with the AC on full is the classic sign. Also listen for grinding or rattling from the engine bay when the AC engages, and watch for a clutch that won't engage or cycles rapidly. A technician should confirm the compressor — not just low refrigerant — is at fault before you order.
The catalogue lists this compressor under Hyundai for Sorento applications — note that Sorento is a Kia model name, so generation and engine variant matter. Fitment can change across production splits, which is why we confirm by VIN. Send us your complete VIN before ordering and we will verify the 97701-2P650 application for your exact vehicle.
A quality aftermarket compressor is built to the same OE interface specification — mounting points, belt routing, and clutch connection match the original. The trade-off is honest: you get strong value and ready availability instead of the OE brand pedigree and dealer network backing. This unit is brand new, not remanufactured, and is covered against manufacturing defects.
This aftermarket compressor is covered against manufacturing defects, and your statutory consumer rights under UAE law apply in addition. If it arrives damaged or incorrect due to our error, we will replace or refund it. We verify your VIN before dispatch, because fitment varies by vehicle.
