xMaserati Alternator Belt 286570 - Quality Aftermarket Replacement
The alternator drive belt keeps your Maserati's battery charged and its electrical systems powered every time the engine runs. This quality aftermarket alternator belt, reference 286570, is a dependable replacement made to suit the Maserati alternator drive — at a sensible price compared with the genuine part. Supplied new and ready to fit, it is the smart choice for a scheduled belt replacement or for curing the squeal and slip of a worn belt.
What This Alternator Belt Does
Every time your Maserati's engine runs, the crankshaft turns the alternator drive belt, which in turn spins the alternator pulley. The alternator generates the electrical power that recharges the battery and runs the ignition, fuel system, lighting, and comfort electronics. Without a belt in good condition, the alternator cannot produce charge — and a modern Maserati carries a heavy electrical load. This 286570 belt is a quality aftermarket replacement made to suit that job, transmitting drive reliably in the heat of the engine bay.
Signs Your Alternator Belt Needs Replacing
A worn alternator belt gives warning signs before it fails completely. Listen for a chirping or squealing noise on cold starts or when electrical loads switch on — that is the classic sound of a slipping belt. Visually, look for cracks across the ribs, frayed edges, or a glazed, shiny ribbed surface. A battery warning light on the dashboard can also point to a belt that is no longer driving the alternator properly. If the belt breaks outright, the battery alone powers the car and drains quickly, leaving you stranded. Replacing the belt at the first signs of wear costs far less than the recovery bill that follows a roadside failure.
Why a Quality Aftermarket Belt Makes Sense
Not every belt replacement needs the factory part. This 286570 is a quality aftermarket belt — inspected, new, and made to suit the Maserati alternator drive — at a fraction of the genuine part's price. What matters most in a drive belt is correct sizing, a consistent rib profile, and a compound that survives engine-bay heat; this belt is selected on exactly those criteria. Where it differs from the cheapest no-name options is quality control: a belt that is fractionally wrong in length or pitch will slip, squeal, and wear the tensioner prematurely, costing you the job twice. For routine belt service, this is the sensible middle ground between the genuine part and a gamble.
Fitting Notes
The alternator belt is a technician-level job. Access typically requires removing undertrays and engine covers, and the belt must be routed exactly to the factory diagram before the automatic tensioner is released onto it. The tensioner and idler pulleys should be inspected at the same time — a worn tensioner will destroy a new belt in short order. This is also the right moment to check the condition of any other accessory belts on the same drive. We recommend fitment by a qualified technician familiar with Maserati engine bays.

Technician’s Advisory: Inspect the belt tensioner, idler pulleys and alternator clutch pulley for play, roughness or noise when replacing the belt – a worn pulley will destroy a new belt quickly. Never lever a multi-rib belt over a pulley with a screwdriver; release it properly using the tensioner.
