xGenuine Ferrari Conical Elastic Washer Fastener 65917600 - OEM Clamping Hardware
The 65917600 conical elastic washer is a genuine Ferrari fastener engineered to keep bolted joints tight under vibration and temperature change. Its conical profile works like a spring: it flexes under load and pushes back, holding steady clamping force where a flat washer would let the fixing work loose. When this small washer fatigues, flattens, or is swapped for a generic flat washer, joints loosen, rattles appear, and mating surfaces start to wear. Ordering the genuine 65917600 from European Auto Spares keeps every fastening point exactly as Ferrari designed it.
What a Conical Elastic Washer Does
A conical elastic washer — sometimes called a disc-spring washer — sits between the bolt head or nut and the clamped surface. As the fastener is tightened, the cone flattens slightly and stores energy, acting as a live spring in the joint. This stored energy compensates for the tiny movements caused by engine vibration, road shock, and thermal expansion, so the bolt never truly goes slack. Ferrari specifies this type of washer at fastening points where long-term clamping stability matters more than a simple flat washer can provide.
Signs the Washer Needs Replacing
A conical washer that has been over-compressed, corroded, or reused too many times loses its cone and with it, its spring action. Technicians notice fasteners that keep loosening between services, faint rattles from brackets or panels, and polished witness marks around the joint where parts have been fretting against each other. Because the 65917600 is a low-cost genuine part, the correct practice is to fit a new washer whenever the joint is disturbed rather than reusing a flattened one.
Why the Genuine Washer Matters
The spring behaviour of a conical washer depends on exact cone angle, material hardness, and thickness — details a generic washer rarely matches. An incorrect washer may look similar but deliver the wrong spring rate, either crushing flat immediately or never flexing at all. The genuine Ferrari 65917600 is produced to the original engineering specification, so the clamping force it provides is the clamping force Ferrari's engineers calculated for that joint. For hardware this inexpensive, there is no reason to gamble on an imitation.
Fitting Notes
Fit the 65917600 with the cone oriented as the original — the convex side faces the bolt head or nut in most applications. Always fit a new washer rather than reusing a compressed one, clean the mating surfaces before assembly, and tighten the fastener to the specification for that joint. If the correct orientation or torque for your application is unclear, have the work done by a qualified Ferrari technician.

xFrequently Asked Questions
The 65917600 is a genuine Ferrari conical elastic washer — a spring-type fastener that sits under a bolt or nut and maintains clamping force. Its cone shape flexes under load, absorbing vibration and thermal expansion so the joint stays tight. It is fitted at fastening points across Ferrari assemblies where a flat washer would let the fixing work loose.
Replace it if flattened, cracked, corroded, or missing — a conical washer that has lost its cone has lost its spring action. Warning signs include fasteners that keep loosening, rattles from panels or brackets, and witness marks of movement around the joint. Because it is a low-cost part, technicians fit a new washer whenever the joint is disturbed.
This washer is used at various fastening points across the Ferrari range, but the exact application depends on the assembly and model year. Send us your complete VIN before ordering and we will confirm the correct usage for your car. VIN verification avoids ordering the wrong hardware and ensures the washer seats correctly in your specific joint.
A flat washer only spreads load — it cannot do the spring job of a conical elastic washer. Substituting one means the joint loses its ability to absorb vibration and thermal cycling, so the bolt is more likely to loosen. The genuine 65917600 is made to Ferrari's original profile and spring specification, keeping clamping force consistent over time.
This is a genuine Ferrari part in factory packaging, covered against manufacturing defects under the genuine parts warranty, and your UAE statutory consumer rights apply. If it arrives damaged or incorrect due to our error, we will replace or refund it. We verify your VIN before dispatch; once fitted, small hardware cannot be resold as new.
