xGenuine Ferrari Engine Sealing Gasket 146189 - OEM Engine Seal
A seal is only as good as its gasket. The genuine Ferrari 146189 is an engine sealing gasket made to Ferrari's original specification, engineered to create a precise, leak-free seal between mating engine surfaces. It keeps oil, coolant, and combustion pressure exactly where Ferrari intended, protecting the engine from the contamination, overheating, and performance loss that follow even a small leak. Fitting the correct OE gasket restores the factory seal profile and material, so the joint seals from the first start and stays sealed.
What the 146189 Sealing Gasket Does in Your Ferrari's Engine
An engine sealing gasket sits between two mating surfaces and compresses to fill every microscopic gap, blocking the passage of fluids and gases. The 146189 is cut to Ferrari's OE profile and made from the factory-specified sealing material, so it matches the sealing faces it mates against exactly. Correct compression across the whole sealing land is what separates a joint that stays dry for years from one that weeps within months.
Signs Your Engine Gasket Needs Attention
Gasket trouble announces itself through weeping: oil or coolant seepage at the joint line, unexplained fluid loss between services, a burning oil smell from fluid reaching hot surfaces, or residue crusting around the sealing faces. Any gasket disturbed during engine work should never be reused, because compression set means it cannot form a reliable seal a second time. If these signs appear, replacing with the genuine 146189 restores the factory seal.
Why a Genuine Ferrari Gasket Matters Here
Sealing is unforgiving of small differences. An aftermarket gasket may look identical yet differ in material compound, thickness, or edge profile — and the wrong compound hardens in heat or swells in oil until the seal fails. The genuine 146189 uses Ferrari's specified material and dimensions, so it compresses evenly, resists the fluids and temperatures of that joint, and lasts as the factory intended. On a Ferrari engine, a failed seal costs far more than the gasket itself.
Fitting Notes for Technicians
Gasket replacement should be performed by a qualified technician. Both mating surfaces must be clean, flat, and free of old gasket residue and damage before the new gasket is seated. Fit the genuine 146189 dry unless Ferrari's procedure for that joint specifies a sealant, position it exactly on its locating features, and tighten fasteners in the correct sequence to the specified torque. Never reuse a gasket that has already been compressed.
