xProduct Overview
The Genuine Land Rover Front Suspension Control Arm Bush (OE LR051585) is the original bush for the front lower control arm on the Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport (L320). This bush locates the lower arm to the chassis while absorbing road shocks and vibration. When the rubber perishes or splits, a very common wear point on these models, the result is knocking over bumps, vague steering and uneven front tyre wear. Pressing in a genuine replacement bush restores the arm’s location, ride comfort and steering precision without replacing the whole arm.
Part Numbers & Reference Codes
OE part number: LR051585superseding the earlier Land Rover bush numbers RBX500432 and RBX500311. Always order and verify by part number to ensure you receive the correct original component for your vehicle.
Vehicle Compatibility & Fitment
This bush fits the front lower control arm of the Discovery 3 (L319, 2005–2009), Discovery 4 (L319, 2010–2016) and Range Rover Sport (L320, 2005–2013). The front lower arm uses more than one bush position, so confirm the position and fitment with your VIN before ordering. See the Fitment Detail tab for the model guide.
Key Features & Benefits
- Genuine OE rubber bush: the original compound and stiffness, tuned to these models’ suspension geometry.
- Restores steering precision: a sound bush holds the lower arm in position, removing knock, wander and vagueness.
- Protects tyres and geometry: worn bushes let alignment angles shift under load, scrubbing front tyres, a new bush holds them true.
- Economical repair: renews the worn bush in your existing arm instead of replacing the complete control arm.

Technician’s Advisory: The bush is a press fit: press the old bush out squarely and press the new bush in to the correct depth and orientation. Final-tighten the control arm bolts only with the suspension loaded at normal ride height — tightening in droop pre-twists the rubber and shortens bush life. Always check wheel alignment after replacement.

xFrequently Asked Questions
Yes. The LR051585 is a genuine Land Rover OE control arm bush — the original bush for the front lower arm of the Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport (L320), superseding RBX500432 and RBX500311. Genuine rubber compound matters here: the bush’s stiffness is part of the suspension tune, affecting ride, steering feel and tyre wear.
Knocking or clunking from the front suspension over bumps and when braking, vague or wandering steering, and uneven wear on the front tyres are the classic signs. On inspection the rubber will be split, perished or separating from its metal sleeve, sometimes with visible movement when the arm is levered.
It fits the front lower control arm of the Discovery 3 (2005–2009), Discovery 4 (2010–2016) and Range Rover Sport L320 (2005–2013). The lower arm has more than one bush position, so tell us your VIN and the position you need, and we will verify the LR051585 is the correct bush before you buy.
Yes. The bush is pressed out of the existing arm and the new bush pressed in, which is far cheaper than a complete arm when the arm itself, its other bush and the ball joint are sound. The job needs a press or proper bush tooling, correct orientation of the new bush, and a wheel alignment afterwards.
This brand-new genuine part is covered against manufacturing defects, and your statutory consumer rights apply in the UAE.
