Genuine Maserati Body Panel Retaining Clip Fastener 675000020

Genuine Maserati Body Panel Retaining Clip Fastener 675000020 - Lower Shield Fastening Clip

The smallest parts cause the most annoying faults. The genuine Maserati 675000020 is the OE lower shield fastening clip — the factory retaining clip that holds undertrays, wheel-arch liners, and lower shields firmly against the body. When old clips go brittle or break during service, panels sag, rattle, and let road spray where it should not go. Correct head profile, correct grip range, correct retention force. Supplied new in the UAE.

What This Retaining Clip Does

Much of the hardware behind a Maserati's lower shields and arch liners is held in place by clips like the 675000020. The clip pushes through aligned holes in the panel and body structure, then locks to clamp the two together with a defined retention force. It resists constant vibration, airflow pressure trying to peel the undertray down, water and grit from the road, and repeated removal at every service. The genuine clip is engineered for a specific panel thickness and hole diameter, seating fully with an audible click. Like all such clips, it has a finite service life before the locking features wear.

Signs You Need New Retaining Clips

The most common sign is a rattle or buzz from underneath at certain speeds — a half-secured undertray flutters in the airflow. Look underneath for a panel sagging at one corner, a gap along an edge, or a clip head sitting proud. After any service involving undertray removal, count the clips — workshops break them routinely, and a missing clip is often discovered only when the noise starts weeks later. Through standing water, a loose lower shield can catch and tear — turning a small clip into a panel replacement. If your Maserati has developed an underbody rattle or a shield looks misaligned after service, the 675000020 clips are the first thing to check — and the cheapest fix on the car.

Why the Genuine Clip Matters

Universal clip assortments are the enemy of a proper repair. A generic clip with the wrong shank either rattles in an oversized hole or cracks the panel going in; the wrong head profile sits proud and catches airflow. The genuine 675000020 matches the exact hole size and panel stack Maserati designed for, so it seats correctly the first time and holds with the specified retention force. The OE polymer is specified for underbody duty — heat, UV, oils, and road chemicals — for years of service. Cheap copies go brittle within a year in Gulf heat — then you buy the clip twice, plus the labour to refit the panel. For a part this inexpensive, there is no rational case for the pattern version.

Fitting Notes for Workshops

Clip replacement is straightforward but rewards care. Remove any broken remnants from the mounting holes — a snapped shank left in the hole will stop the new clip seating. Align the panel fully before pushing the clip home — firm thumb pressure and an audible click, never a hammer. If a clip will not seat, the holes are misaligned or the wrong clip is in your hand — do not force it. When refitting undertrays, replace every clip showing whitening, a cracked head, or a loose fit — refitting tired clips guarantees a comeback. Keep 675000020 on the shelf — it covers the Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte ranges, turning a rattle complaint into a ten-minute fix.

Why Choose European Auto Spares

The Clip Your Undertray Was Designed For

We supply the actual OE fastening clip — correct shank, head profile, and grip range for the factory holes. A proper click and specified holding force, not the approximate grip of a universal clip.

Specified for Underbody Punishment

The OE polymer is chosen for heat, UV, road spray, and chemicals. It stays flexible and keeps its locking features season after season in UAE conditions.

Fit the Right Fastener First Time

A rattle that brings the car back costs more than the clip. Fitting the genuine fastener first time eliminates the comeback and the second labour charge.
