Carcasa de conector eléctrico Audi Volkswagen 4B0973724 | OEM Genuino

The housing plug is the plastic body that holds wiring terminals in position and locks the connector together. It keeps each terminal separated, seals out moisture and dust, and provides the latch that stops the connection vibrating apart. When the housing cracks or its lock breaks, terminals shift and the circuit fails — the genuine 4B0973724 restores the factory connection.

Look for a connector that will not stay latched, terminals that push back out, or cracks and melted spots on the plastic. The symptoms mirror a bad terminal: intermittent faults, warning lights, and accessories that drop out over bumps. If the housing is damaged, replacing terminals alone will not hold — the genuine housing gives them something to lock into.

This is a genuine Audi Volkswagen part, but connector housings differ across models, systems, and production years. The reliable check is your VIN. Send us the full 17-character VIN before ordering and our team will confirm the exact application for your car. Ordering by appearance alone is the most common cause of electrical rework, so verification protects your repair.

Yes. The housing's job is precision: terminal positions accurate to a fraction of a millimetre and a latch that survives years of vibration. Aftermarket housings often have sloppy cavities and weak latches, so terminals back out and the fault returns. The genuine 4B0973724 matches the original mould exactly — cheap insurance against repeat diagnosis for a part that costs little.
