Fitment Details
xFerrari Alignment Dowel Pin 100052 Fitment
| Application Area | Application |
|---|---|
| Ferrari — engine and drivetrain assemblies | Dowel pin for precision mating of housings, covers, and flanges |
| Ferrari — chassis and body assemblies | Dowel pin for alignment of structural and panel joints |
| Ferrari — service and rebuild work | Replacement for pins lost or damaged during strip-down |
Technician's Advisory: Dowel pins are assembly-specific — pins that look alike can differ in diameter and length. Always confirm the exact application with your VIN before ordering — our team verifies compatibility before dispatch. Clean and inspect the bore before seating the new genuine pin squarely; never force an oversize pin into a reamed bore.
FAQs
xFrequently Asked Questions
The 100052 is a genuine Ferrari alignment dowel pin. It seats into a precision-machined bore in one component so the mating part slides over it into exact alignment. This keeps bolt holes lined up and clamping load evenly distributed across the joint. Without the correct pin, mating faces can shift under load, causing fretting and premature failure of the assembly.
Dowel pins are usually lost or damaged during disassembly rather than wearing out. Check if bolt holes will not line up during reassembly, the joint shifts as fasteners are tightened, or you see fretting marks on the mating faces. A pin removed with the wrong tool may be scored or bent.
The 100052 is a Ferrari OE hardware item, but dowel pins are assembly-specific — similar-looking pins differ in diameter and length. We recommend confirming with your VIN before ordering. Send us the full VIN and the assembly you are rebuilding, and our team will verify the 100052 is the correct pin. This avoids a strip-down delayed by wrong hardware.
A generic pin might appear to fit, but dowel pins live or die by tolerance. An undersize generic pin allows micro-movement that frets the mating faces, while an oversize one scores the bore. Generic stock also varies in roundness and finish by batch. The genuine Ferrari 100052 is made to the original specification, so the joint aligns and stays aligned.
This is a new genuine Ferrari part supplied in factory packaging, covered against manufacturing defects under the standard genuine parts warranty. Your consumer rights apply in the UAE. If the part arrives damaged or is incorrect due to our error, we will replace or refund it. Because pins are assembly-specific, we verify your VIN before dispatch to prevent wrong orders.
