Technician's Advisory: The 109724 is a single part number used in several different positions per car — the correct quantity and location depend on your exact model and gearbox, so always confirm with your complete VIN before ordering; our team verifies compatibility before dispatch. Replace the ring whenever the housing is opened, and never reuse a ring that has taken a compression set.
FAQs
xFrequently Asked Questions
The 109724 is a genuine Ferrari O-ring (seal ring) used across many classic Ferrari engines and gearboxes. It seals oil-carrying joints such as the main shaft gears, the gearbox oil pump, and crankcase covers. Ferrari specifies this single part number in diagrams for the 348, 355, 456, 512 range, 550, 575, 599, 612, F50, Mondial t, and Testarossa.
The classic sign is a persistent oil weep at a shaft housing or pump cover, often seen as a wet patch on the gearbox casing or falling oil level between services. Heat and age harden the rubber until it stops conforming to its groove. Since the 109724 sits inside an opened housing, replace it during scheduled engine or gearbox service.
The 109724 is listed for a wide range of classic Ferraris, from the 348 and Mondial t through the 550, 575, 599, 612, and F50, but the exact diagram position varies by model and gearbox. Send us your complete VIN and our team will confirm the correct application and location for your car, since one part number covers several positions.
A generic O-ring may look similar, but its cross-section and compound determine whether it seals. Slightly wrong dimensions weep under oil pressure, and generic compounds swell or harden in hot running. A leaking ring means draining fluids and reopening a freshly serviced housing. The genuine 109724 matches the factory groove specification exactly, making it cheap insurance against a repeat strip-down.
This brand-new genuine Ferrari part ships in factory packaging and is covered against manufacturing defects, with your statutory consumer rights applying in the UAE. If the part arrives damaged or incorrect due to our error, we replace or refund it. Because the 109724 covers several diagram positions, we verify your VIN to avoid ordering the wrong ring.
