Fitment Details
xENGINE SEAL RING FITMENT GUIDE
This seal ring is a Volkswagen Group standard part, size 8x12, used at more than one joint across the Volkswagen Group range, and it is also shown in the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 cylinder head diagram. Because the same ring serves different joints on different vehicles, no single model table can cover every application, so fitment must be verified by VIN for your exact vehicle and joint.
Technician's Advisory: Never reuse a seal ring that has already been compressed, and always fit a fresh ring whenever its joint is opened. Clean the sealing faces and the fitting fully, check for scoring or damage, and seat the new ring squarely before tightening to the factory specification.
Important: This genuine OE part is listed by OE part number N0138302. Exact compatibility depends on the model, variant, production date and equipment level. Send your complete VIN to the European Autospares parts team and we will verify this is the correct part for your vehicle before you order.
FAQs
xFrequently Asked Questions
Yes. The N0138302 is a genuine Volkswagen Group OE seal ring, made to the factory specification at size 8x12. It is not an aftermarket reproduction. Buying genuine means the correct size and sealing material for its joint, so the ring seats squarely, compresses evenly, and keeps fluid inside the system without weeping.
Catalogues list the N0138302 as a single seal ring, size 8x12, not a set. If your repair needs more than one ring, order the quantity your joint requires. Send your VIN to our parts team before ordering and we will confirm how many rings your repair needs, so you do not come up short mid-job.
This is a Volkswagen Group standard ring used at more than one joint, and it also appears in a Lamborghini Murcielago cylinder head diagram, so the part number alone does not prove the joint. Send your complete VIN to our parts team and we will verify the exact joint and application for your vehicle before you order.
Replace it whenever its joint is opened, and immediately if you see weeping, staining, or fluid loss at the fitting. A compressed or hardened ring cannot reseal reliably, even if it looks intact. Fitting a fresh N0138302 during the repair prevents a repeat leak and the labour cost of opening the same joint twice.
This brand-new genuine part is covered against manufacturing defects, and your statutory consumer rights apply in the UAE. If the part arrives damaged or is incorrect due to our error, we will replace or refund it. We recommend VIN verification before ordering, so contact us with your VIN if you are unsure.
