What does this cooling system connector do?

It joins or adapts coolant hoses in the cooling circuit, maintaining a sealed path for coolant between the engine, radiator and heater. A failed connector leaks coolant and can quickly lead to overheating, so it is a small part with an important job.

How do I know if my coolant connector is leaking?

Look for a sweet smell of coolant, pink or green crusty deposits around the fitting, a slowly dropping coolant level, or damp patches under the car. Any low-coolant warning deserves an immediate inspection, because coolant loss can overheat the engine in minutes.

Will this connector fit my Porsche?
