Technician's Advisory: Six plugs required per engine — always replace the full set so every cylinder fires identically. Cross-check the Bosch WR4 DPO specification against your engine before ordering, torque plugs to the manufacturer's specified torque, and inspect ignition leads, distributor cap, and rotor during the same service.
Important: This genuine Porsche part (Bosch WR4 DPO) is listed by OE part number 99917018690. Exact compatibility depends on the model, variant, production date and engine. Send your complete VIN to the European Autospares parts team and we will verify this is the correct part for your vehicle.
FAQs
xFrequently Asked Questions
Yes. The 99917018690 is a genuine Porsche OE spark plug — the original Bosch WR4 DPO plug made to Porsche’s factory specification for classic air-cooled engines. Buying genuine means the correct heat range and electrode specification, so combustion stays clean, starting stays easy, and the ignition system works exactly as designed.
This plug fits the Porsche 911 (Classic / F-series) 1965–1973, the 911 (964) Turbo 3.3L 1991–1992, and the Porsche 914 1970–1976. Six plugs are required per engine. Always confirm your engine variant with your VIN before ordering — send it to our parts team and we will verify it against the factory catalogue.
Replace plugs at the factory service interval, or sooner if you notice misfires, hard starting, rough idle, or rising fuel consumption. On air-cooled engines, worn plugs also stress the ignition leads and distributor components. Always replace all six as a set with the genuine 99917018690 — mixing old and new plugs causes uneven combustion.
Each listing is one genuine plug, priced and sold individually — and you need six per engine. Spark plugs are a service item: always replace the full set at once so every cylinder fires identically. Order six of the 99917018690 for one complete engine service, and inspect the ignition leads and distributor cap at the same time.
This brand-new genuine part is covered against manufacturing defects, and your statutory consumer rights apply in the UAE. If the part arrives damaged or is incorrect due to our error, we will replace or refund it. Confirming fitment by VIN before ordering avoids the cost of a wrong-part return.
